Ferrovia Monte GenerosoThe Monte Generoso Railway is the only Swiss narrow-gauge rack railway south of the Alps. It runs from the valley station near Capolago on Lake Lugano to Monte Generoso, which lies 1,605 metres above sea level. Rüschlikon Green Meadow ParkThe beautiful Rüschlikon Green Meadow Park above Lake Zurich is adjacent to the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI). In 1946, Migros founders Gottlieb and Adele Duttweiler donated it to the "Green Meadows" foundation and therefore to the public. From March to October visitors play games, celebrate special events, play Swiss card games and enjoy picnics in this park. There is also a Migros restaurant in the park. |
